Get informed about your choices for high school!
Scott 8th graders have many options for High School. The longer you wait, the fewer options you will have.
I have a Youtube playlist to explore some of your options here.

- Our usual neighborhood high school is Madison. If you do nothing, you will probably be assigned here. Madison is a comprehensive high school, with a variety of challenging classes, supports, and after-school activities such as drama and athletics.
- Many of our students have instead gone to Benson Polytechnic. Benson requires applying to and winning a lottery that opens up in November. Students at Benson choose one of several majors. Click on the link to find out more.
- Another option is Jefferson High School. Jeff has a Middle College for Advanced Studies, offers college credit for many classes, and can facilitate full-ride scholarships for just about everyone.
- Another option families should consider is De la Salle North Catholic. It's a private school, but most students don't pay tuition. Instead, local businesses hire students, train them with career skills, and finance the school. DLSNC requires an application, references from your teachers, and an admissions test. Your first step should be to call the school to shadow a student there. Your absence from Scott will be excused, of course, if you let us know.
- Finally, many of our Native American students go to NAYA's Early College Academy. As I learn more about this option, I will post it here. For now, information session dates are included in the calendar below.
